What a
great thanksgiving. We had over 90 people for dinner and the food they brought was
delicious. I love pot lucks.
Don't forget we have another pot luck on Christmas
day. Same deal. You bring a dish to serve 8 to 10 people and we furnish the
Turkeys. After the pot luck dinner Santa visits Philo's and hands out gifts to the
children of La Cruz. Each year we have over 350 kids. If you wish to
participate bring by some gifts between now and Christmas. We need lots of
things. Stocking stuffers work best.
Wednesday Dec 16th, 7 p.m. Apearch presents a Christmas Fiesta here at Philo's.
$150 pesos. This is the 1st of 4 community benefits that we do here at
Philo's. This one is for APEARCH an organization we put together to help clean our
Pueblo. We have a full time person picking up trash. We also put out trash
barrels around town. We even occasionally help out our schools.
These are always sold out events so stop by and get your tickets soon. There will be
lots of entertainment and a great home cooked Mexican meal to boot. Dinner is
served at 7:00 pm. Also, if you have items of value to donate for
a raffle, such as dinner for two, or nice piece of artwork, please bring
them by Philo's. The night's entertainment includes, Achim and Allessandra
along with Philo and the Mexican Shuffle Band. More to come.
The free Salsa lessons on Tuesday night have been a big hit. Come by and join in on
the fun beginning at 8 pm.
For those of you who have signed up for the San
Sebastian trip its time to get your money in. The San Sebastian trip takes place on
Sunday the 6th of December and returns on Monday the 7th. We still have 6 rooms
available so if you wish to join us contact me very soon.

News from Kathleen:
We have new English classes. Beginning English for adults and teens will be every Tuesday
and Thursday at 7 pm (PV time), starting Dec. 1. Intermediate English for adults and teens
will be every Wednesday and Friday, same time, starting Dec. 2. Andrea is returning to
teach Beginning Spanish the first week of January. Check with the Notes for the date. If
you would like to lead a yoga class at Philo's, please let us know.

These are water aerobics classes I am planing: Free classes 10:30 PV time on Tuesday
and Friday. Heated Pool. At our casa (Casa Cardenal) #3 Ibis Across the street from the La
Joya Condo. Turn toward the bay at the TOPE on the curve, first and only house on the
right. Please call if you plan to attend. The pool is one level and not to big so
can't have more than 6 people. If any one would like to have water therapy for knees,
