Over
100 people attended our trip to San Sebastian. The concert in the court yard, jamming in
the bar and acoustic music around a camp fire. I always have a great time and this time

My friend Aynsley Dunbar is flying in today and will be playing drums with my band this
weekend starting tomorrow night at the Friendship Club benefit. Aynsley did 7 records with
Frank Zappa, was the original drummer for Journey, played with John Mahall, John Lennon,
Jefferson Starship, David Bowie, and really to many others to list here. Check out

This is a busy week for the Friendship Club of La Cruz. Our annual Mexican Benefit is on
Wednesday at 7 pm. Tickets are still available for 150 pesos. The Benefit will include a
Silent Auction, but we need your donations for this to be a success. Al and Zoe, the
elementary school folklorico dancers, and Philo and the Shuffle Band will provide
entertainment. A wonderful Mexican buffet dinner, a raffle and the auction will round out
a fun-filled evening.
On Friday. Feb. 20, please join us at the La Cruz Marina at 9:30 a.m. for the monthly
Nayarit Breakfast Network. You will have the opportunity to meet area business people and
enjoy a special brunch for 80 pesos. Reservations need to be made by Wed., Feb. 18 at 1
p.m. with Connie at connie@elementsofmexico.com .
This Sunday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m., the Friendship Club, represented by artist Muriel Taylor,
will participate in the Nuevo Vallarta Yacht Club Art Show. Over twenty artists will
display and sell their work. There will be complimentary wine, appetizers and live music.
Proceeds from the sale of Muriel's art benefit the Friendship Club of La Cruz.
