At two am yesterday
morning, the bridge over the river Ameca collapsed. That's the bridge on the state line
between the state of Nayarit and the state of Jalisco. It's the bridge you need to cross,
to get to Puerto Vallarta from the North Bay. The bridge was a one way bridge going North.
When it collapsed it washed against the other one way bridge going south, so they are not
sure if that one is safe yet. It was opened to foot traffic yesterday and then late
yesterday afternoon it was opened to light weight vehicles. According to authorities the
whole area of the Banderas Bay received a whole months worth of rain in a 24 hour period.
Wow.

Holy cow another video. Another song from my soon to be released album "South Of The
Border." This one is photos of myself and my sailing buddies in the Islands of the
South Pacific, set to the music of a song that I wrote during the 3 year adventure. The
name of the song is, "I Think Of You". All of these photos were taken by either
myself or my fellow sailors. Click HERE
to go to Philo's Channel on YouTube. It now has 7 of the new songs that I have recorded
for my new, soon to be released CD. Many more will be added soon. If you like the songs,
please book mark the page, so you can share it with your friends. You can access it by

So....... I still need some help with my next video. This will be for my song "I've
Been Dreaming About Mexico." If you have some great and interesting pictures of your
Mexico, please send them to me to put in my new video. On Thursday the 2nd of September at 7:30 p.m. "Philo's
Shuffle Band" and the "Kantare' Children's Choir," will be playing a
benefit for the Biblioteca here in San Miguel. This Biblioteca (library), is known all
over Mexico. It is considered the educational and cultural heart of San Miguel de Allende,
providing resources for both the Mexican and foreign communities.
Due to the Biblioteca's financial problems, The Kantare' Children's Choir is in danger of
disappearing. 100 percent of the money from ticket sales will go to the Children's Choir.
The Biblioteca receives no government funding. It is entirely supported through donations,
membership and fees. They are badly in need of help right now. Tickets are 100 pesos and
can be purchased from me, or at the theater office in the Biblioteca. This affair has
changed from the theater to the large Patio to accommodate more people.
